The first week of March will see small businesses and budding entrepreneurs gather across the country for Local Business Week 2020. An initiative of the local business offices, thousands of attendees are expected at over 300 events in across the country during the week aimed at supporting small businesses and promoting entrepreneurship.

The week is organized in each zone by the 31 local company offices and the events will take place from March 2-6. Events will cover a range of small business and start-up topics including financial skills, sustainability and the green economy, Brexit preparation, how to pitch your business for finance and sell, and helping small businesses to market themselves both online and offline.

With more than 300 events held across the country, the Local Business Week 2020 program aims to help businesses tackle the key challenges that lie ahead as they face a new decade. These include industry specific mentoring workshops, LEAN sessions on how to make your business more efficient, workshops on building a green and sustainable business, webinars for your business and even how to use “mental magic” to help your business and the power of persuasion. .

The week will also host the county finals for this year’s Student Business Program and National Business Awards nominees, as they hope to secure spots for the national finals in May.
