The developers are moving forward with a £ 2million industrial project in Northumberland that is expected to create 20 jobs as well as much needed workspace.
The SIJP partnership will soon begin construction of a mix of 18 high-quality steel-framed light industrial, manufacturing, storage and distribution units at Blyth’s Riverside Business Park, adding more than 18,000 square feet of floor area.
Plans to extend the Northumberland industrial area onto land off Ennerdale Road were unanimously approved by town planners, paving the way for the creation of the units, new access roads , landscaping and on-site waste collection facilities.

The park is already home to a number of other units used for similar general industrial and commercial activities.
Work on the units, which will have access to good local transport links when completed next year, will create up to 20 construction jobs during the initial construction phase.
Sean Hedley, general manager of North East Planning Specialists Hedley Planning Services, has obtained approval from the Planning Department of Northumberland County Council.
The company’s planning estimates indicate that tens of thousands of pounds could be pumped into the regional economy as occupants move in and spend on local amenities and services.
