Chatsworth has secured a deal for a 15,000 square foot unit at Riverside Business Park in Bakewell.
Litton Properties have exchanged contracts with Chatsworth for a unit due for completion in November 2022. It will be handed over in early January 2023 for fit-out and is expected to be used for storage and support of the nearby Chatsworth Estate Farm store and other operations retail real estate.
Riverside Business Park is a £25 million regeneration project and is home to a number of existing businesses including the Thornbridge Brewery. There is consent for an additional 60,000 square feet plus a Premier Inn hotel.
Steve Haywood, Retail Manager at Chatsworth, said: “In our search for new warehouse space, we have remained committed to supporting our colleagues and our local community, and the Riverside Park facility allows us to move all of our operations under one roof.
“This new site will allow us to improve the efficiency of storage and picking but, more importantly, it will improve the facilities for all our colleagues in the warehouse.
“In Riverside, we will join a number of other local businesses that are expanding to the current site or moving into new units as the area continues to develop over the next few years. »
